School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Jermyn, Pennsylvania
Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to make a meaningful difference in an elementary school community. This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about supporting young learners’ communication and language development. The position is in-person only and will require onsite presence at two elementary schools, scheduled for approximately 15 hours per week across two days, with time set aside for necessary paperwork and documentation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) also encouraged to apply
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Proficient in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and communication disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Maintain accurate records and document all services, assessments, and progress notes
- Provide input and support for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote strategies that support students in the classroom
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy and education
