Speech Language Pathologist, SLP Jacksonville, FL
A school-based Speech Language Pathologist can make a meaningful difference by helping students build the communication skills they need to participate confidently in the classroom, connect with peers, and access their education. This role supports students with speech, language, fluency, and communication needs while partnering with educators and families to promote student success.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field.
- Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist license, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure.
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
- Clinical Fellows may be considered when appropriate supervision is available.
- School-based experience preferred, but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments to determine student communication needs.
- Develop, update, and maintain IEP documentation, progress reports, and treatment notes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication in the classroom.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations for student support.
