Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current or eligible Florida SLP licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or candidates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome
- School-based experience strongly preferred, but open to strong clinical backgrounds
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and advocating for diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and intervention to elementary students
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, articulation, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals and federal/state guidelines
- Document student progress and participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
- Educate teachers and support staff to promote carryover of targeted skills
- Stay current on best practices and maintain accurate, timely records
