Step into a dynamic role supporting students' communication growth for the 2026/2027 school year. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, offering a flexible, part-time schedule of 3-4 days per week with 7-hour shifts. You'll collaborate with a fellow Speech-Language Pathologist to make a powerful impact across elementary and middle school caseloads.
Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of speech and language services to a group of approximately 70-75 students, with the caseload shared to support effective service and manageable workloads. This role is designed for someone who excels in a cooperative environment and is passionate about enriching life skills and supporting functional classrooms using a centers-based service approach. Your day-to-day will blend work within special education settings and general education environments, always focusing on cultivating student success.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC certification and Indiana licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Confidence managing a diverse pediatric caseload (elementary/middle grades)
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and enthusiasm for collaborative practices
- Comfort supporting life skills and functional classrooms within a centers-based model
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including another SLP
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to student needs
- Document progress and communicate effectively with families and staff
- Help shape service delivery as the team’s structure evolves
