Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Independence, MO
Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a contract speech-language pathologist. This rewarding assignment involves providing on-site services throughout the school year, working collaboratively with dedicated professionals. You will be responsible for managing a caseload and partnering with an SLP-A and another supervising SLP at the location.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license with CCCs
- Previous school-based SLP experience, especially in elementary settings, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP process and case management requirements
- Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage service delivery and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 21 students as case manager and serve a total of 76 students with the assistance of an SLP-A
- Perform assessments, develop and implement therapy plans, and monitor student progress
- Oversee and coordinate services alongside on-site SLP-A and provide indirect supervision as needed
- Support IEP development, participate in meetings, and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with general education staff and families to support student outcomes
