School Speech Language Pathologist - Huntington Beach, CA
Step into a rewarding teletherapy opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to PreK-8th grade students for a full academic year. Ideal for a seasoned SLP-CCC who enjoys a balance of virtual engagement and hands-on impact, this contract role offers the chance to work with a diverse student caseload, including those with Autism, nonverbal communication needs, and complex behavioral profiles.
You’ll collaborate across 1-2 school sites, conducting in-person assessments while primarily delivering services remotely. Successful candidates thrive in dynamic school settings, demonstrate expertise supporting elementary-aged students, and are comfortable implementing both push-in and pull-out models of therapy.
Your Qualifications:
- Current and valid SLP-CCC license (out-of-state or temporary waivers not accepted)
- Significant experience working with elementary-age children in school-based settings
- Proficiency with AAC devices and strategies in educational environments
- Confidence supporting students with Autism, nonverbal needs, and severe behaviors
- Strong familiarity with SEIS documentation and billing systems
- Ability to work the full school year, full time (37.5 hours/week)
- Comfortable serving 1-2 campuses, occasionally traveling for onsite assessments
In This Role You Will:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations in person; deliver the majority of therapy via secure virtual platforms
- Document progress and manage caseload in SEIS, adhering to district and state requirements
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions for a broad elementary caseload, including push-in and pull-out settings
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Champion communication access, creative problem solving, and student growth
