School Speech Language Pathologist - Houston, Texas

This full-time contract role supports a caseload of 58 speech students and includes conducting both arena and speech-impairment testing for non-enrolled preschoolers (ages 3-5) presenting with speech and language concerns. You'll play a vital part in ensuring every child receives the support they need to succeed.
Ideal candidates hold a valid Texas SLP credential and possess experience or interest in working within school-based settings. Whether you're an SLP-CCC or pursuing your CFY, your expertise and passion for communication disorders will be highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Texas SLP license/certification
- SLP-CCC or eligibility/intent to complete CFY
- Experience with school-based caseload management is advantageous
- Knowledge of speech/language evaluation tools and IEP process
- Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent organization and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to a caseload of speech students
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for both enrolled and non-enrolled students aged 3-5
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Complete arena and SI testing when appropriate
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Consult regularly with staff and families to support student progress
