Essential Qualifications:
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Strong proficiency in conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations
- Effective communication skills for interacting with school staff and facilitating ARD meetings
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide guidance to assigned SLPA(s), ensuring best practices and professional development
- Complete thorough speech-language assessments and evaluations in compliance with school and state requirements
- Lead and facilitate ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, partnering with IEP teams to design effective student supports
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers to identify and address student needs
- Maintain accurate records, evaluation documentation, and progress monitoring reports
- Serve as a vital resource on speech and language development for classroom staff and families
