School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Hollister, California
Bring your expertise as a Speech and Language Pathologist to an impactful school-based role serving diverse student populations. We're searching for dedicated contract SLPs for multiple openings supporting children from preschool through 8th grade. You'll make a meaningful difference, whether traveling to rural school sites or providing specialized services at a preschool campus.
Highlights of these openings include:
- Serve students in a variety of settings: 1) Rural SLP traveling between rural schools for TK–8th grade, and 2) Preschool SLP dedicated to a single site for ages 3-5.
- Caseloads are manageable and focused, ranging from 35 to 45 students.
- Collaborate within a supportive SPED department alongside two other SLPs and an SLPA.
- Opportunities span the full 2026-2027 academic year, with the possibility to extend into ESY (Extended School Year).
- Bilingual skillsets are highly valued and bring an added advantage.
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, especially with ages 3–14 (preschool to middle school)
- Ability and willingness to travel between rural schools (for rural SLP role)
- Strong evaluation, intervention, and IEP development skills
- Dedication to culturally responsive practices; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, both individually and in groups
- Conduct assessments and collaborate on IEPs
- Work closely with educators and families to foster student progress
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
