Step into an exciting opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a collaborative school-based environment. This role is designed for those passionate about contributing to students’ growth while developing their skills under expert supervision. The contract runs from August 17th through May 30th, 2025, with full-time hours averaging 37.5 per week, all based at a welcoming elementary location.
In this position, you’ll work closely with a supervising SLP, ensuring high-quality, consistent therapy interventions while assisting with assessments and supporting effective communication in young learners. You’ll be part of a professional team, benefit from clear administrative processes, and be compensated for all hours worked within your contracted schedule.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication or related field (required)
- Eligibility to work as an SLPA in a public school setting
- Experience or demonstrated interest in elementary-aged students, K-5
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and therapy reporting is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct therapy services as delegated by the supervising SLP
- Assisting with assessments and data collection for student progress
- Documenting therapy activities and updating required records
- Supporting IEP implementation and participating in team meetings
- Traveling between assigned school sites if needed (compensated travel)
- Maintaining a positive, student-centered approach at all times
