School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Healdsburg, California
Step into an impactful role supporting high school students’ communication and success by providing speech-language pathology services on a full-time, onsite basis. This contract opportunity is based in a welcoming community near Windsor and Healdsburg, CA, where your expertise will help students in grades 9 through 12 reach their fullest potential.
Bring your dedication to serve as a key member of the educational team, collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families. As an SLP in this high school setting, you’ll conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and offer targeted therapy sessions to foster communication skills essential for academic achievement and social development. Please note this role requires direct SLP service—SLPA support is not included.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current SLP license issued by the State of California and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working with 9th–12th graders in a school or similar environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for partnering with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to manage caseloads and develop effective, individualized, school-based intervention plans
- Onsite availability—remote or hybrid options are not offered for this position
Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough speech and language evaluations for high school students
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs based on students’ evolving needs
- Provide direct individual and group speech-language therapy services
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate in IEP meetings
- Work with educators and families to foster an environment that supports communication growth
