An experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) is needed for a contract opportunity covering a maternity leave. This part-time assignment requires three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with an anticipated start in early October, ending before winter break. There’s flexibility to onboard 1-2 weeks before the assignment for valuable shadowing time alongside the current SLP, ensuring a seamless transition. This role will focus on providing services to a dedicated caseload at the high school level, located near Haysville, KS.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective speech and language therapy to approximately 46 high school students.
- Balance consultative support (1,085 hours) and direct intervention (750 hours) as assigned.
- Document student progress, complete evaluations, and maintain compliance with IEP requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster positive outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators and participate in case conferences as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Previous experience working in school settings with adolescents preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage independent caseloads and work proactively with minimal supervision.
