A part-time contract speech-language pathologist is needed for a maternity leave position at a local high school, working three days per week. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your SLP-CCC expertise to a supportive school environment and work closely with students, families, and colleagues.
What You'll Need:
- Valid SLP licensure with CCC credentials required
- Experience in school-based speech-language therapy strongly preferred
- Comfortable with managing a caseload of up to 46 students
- Strong consultative and direct therapy skills; ability to balance consultation and direct service hours
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Flexibility to participate in shadowing current SLP 1–2 weeks prior to start
- Professional references available at the time of interview
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain thorough, accurate records in accordance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support each student's goals
- Participate in meetings and contribute as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team
The assignment is set for three days a week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, beginning mid-October with flexibility to start earlier for training and shadowing. The expected commitment is approximately 20 hours per week, with start and end dates from early October through late December.
