Position Overview
Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to provide speech and language services to students during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative educational environment while supporting students' communication, academic, and social development.
Specific school assignment(s) and caseload details will be determined by the district based on staffing needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other required school-based meetings
Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology License
Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
School-based experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
Must complete all required Jefferson Parish Human Resources documentation
Background check and any additional district credentialing requirements
