Step into this rewarding, full-time contract position as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, where you’ll engage and empower K-12 learners in a supportive educational setting. With two maternity leave coverages available, you can expect a dynamic and fulfilling experience from the end of September through mid-January (see specific dates below).

Key Details:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week
  • Onsite role serving K-12 students
  • Two openings for maternity leave coverage: • Position 1: Late September through mid-December • Position 2: Mid-November through early January
  • Zoom interview process for convenience and speed

Qualifications:

  • ASHA CCCs required (Certification of Clinical Competence)
  • Active Connecticut SLP license
  • Recent, proven school-based SLP experience required
  • Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must successfully complete district-level fingerprinting and background check
  • SLPAs are not being considered for this opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of speech, language, and communication disorders in a K-12 student population
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and goals in accordance with IEPs
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress tracking
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with other educators and staff
  • Provide insight and support to families regarding student progress and needs
