You’ll work closely with K-12 students, providing services in a diverse mix of public schools within the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area, including Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid and current state licensure for Virginia (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered
- Strong ability to work with K-12 student populations
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills with students, faculty, and families
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students
- Providing direct therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborating closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support academic progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participating in eligibility meetings and IEP team discussions as necessary
- Managing a diverse caseload and rotating between assigned schools as needed
This flexible contract role offers consistent, full-time hours—7.33 hours per day, 5 days a week—for the academic calendar.
