School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Chesapeake, Virginia

Exciting opportunities are available for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to make a difference in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk region. Positions are open for both experienced clinicians (CCC-SLP) and Clinical Fellows (CFY) to provide essential speech-language services in K-12 school settings. Contract roles are available for the entire school year, with multiple openings supporting children across a variety of districts, including Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) to practice in Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship candidates are welcome
- Experience or clinical rotations within schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads across K-12 age groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and evaluation of student speech, language, and communication abilities
- Development and implementation of individualized therapy plans
- Collaboration with educators, counselors, and families to support student goals
- Maintenance of accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Engagement with school staff to promote speech-language best practices within the educational environment
