Step into a rewarding contract role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school environment near Hamden, CT. You'll work full-time, 36.25 hours per week, providing direct therapy and communication support in 2-3 classrooms, each accommodating 6-8 students.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license (Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain)
  • Relevant experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
  • Motivated to provide individualized support and foster student progress
  • Comfortable working without the support of SLPAs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and interpret results to develop student-centered IEPs
  • Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students across varied communication needs
  • Develop engaging, evidence-based lesson plans tailored to small classroom settings
  • Collaborate with educational staff to support generalization of skills within the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reports
  • Serve as a resource for communication strategies to educators and caregivers
