Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license (Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain)
- Relevant experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Motivated to provide individualized support and foster student progress
- Comfortable working without the support of SLPAs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and interpret results to develop student-centered IEPs
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students across varied communication needs
- Develop engaging, evidence-based lesson plans tailored to small classroom settings
- Collaborate with educational staff to support generalization of skills within the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and progress reports
- Serve as a resource for communication strategies to educators and caregivers
