Key qualifications and experience desired:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP
- Previous school-based experience preferred, particularly working with diverse student populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and related service providers
- Ability to adapt to a split caseload across different age groups and learning needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine student speech/language needs
- Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
- Delivering direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in both preschool and elementary settings
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining thorough documentation
- Consulting with teachers, staff, and families to foster language development in and out of the classroom
- Staying current with best practices in speech-language pathology within educational settings
