The assignment covers a maternity leave, beginning September 14th and concluding at the end of November, making it an ideal fit for individuals seeking short-term, meaningful work this fall.
You’ll work directly with Schaumberg Elementary students, helping to improve communication and language skills across a caseload of approximately 50-60 children. This position welcomes both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFs), offering a fantastic chance to apply and expand your expertise in a school setting.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a CF
- Current or eligible state licensure in Louisiana
- Previous experience in a school environment is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and identify speech and language disorders among K-5 students
- Develop tailored intervention plans to support individual student success
- Deliver direct therapy services and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with school and regulatory standards
- Engage with families and staff to ensure a holistic approach to student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult on best practice implementation
