A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide vital support to elementary students near Grand Blanc, MI. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours (with some flexibility possible) and serves a caseload of approximately 60 elementary students across two sites. The ideal start date is December, though an earlier start can be arranged for the right candidate. Preference is given to applicants with their CCC, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are also welcome to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellow (CF) applicants considered
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of around 60 elementary school-aged students across two locations
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and screenings for speech and language impairments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy services in both individual and small group settings
- Work closely and communicate effectively with teachers, school staff, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and submit progress reports in compliance with district standards
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the team process as needed
