Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or eligibility for CFY supervision
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Background in pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
- Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative therapy to elementary students with profound communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Support students in mastering communication using AAC and other devices
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize each child’s progress
- Regularly document student progress and participate in IEP and team meetings
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that celebrates each child’s achievements
