Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Blue Springs, MO

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLP license or eligibility as required, with a preference for those holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Prior experience in pediatric settings, schools, or healthcare environments supporting children with significant speech and communication needs
- Skilled in developing and implementing therapy for students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Understanding of language disorders, social communication, and evidence-based intervention strategies for children with complex needs
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to effectively engage students in a challenging program
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students with limited verbal communication abilities
- Assess, develop, and monitor individualized treatment plans targeting expressive and receptive language, pragmatic communication, and functional outcomes
- Implement and support the use of communication devices, collaborating with educational and support staff on device integration and progress
- Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings with meaningful input
- Provide training and ongoing support to families, caregivers, and teachers for carryover of communication strategies
