Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Blue Springs, MO

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Background in pediatric and/or school-based SLP settings
- Prior experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is highly valued
- Ability to work compassionately and effectively with students who have complex communication profiles
- Collaborative approach with educators, specialists, and families
- Strong documentation, reporting, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy and intervention for students with limited verbal communication, adapting strategies for individual needs
- Assess, select, and implement suitable AAC devices and supports
- Collaborate on Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and multidisciplinary teams to develop functional communication goals
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and families to promote communication success across school settings
- Maintain documentation and participate in ongoing evaluation of student progress
- Offer training and consultation on device use for staff and families
