In this role, you’ll have support from an SLPA onsite and will be responsible for supervising their daily practice. The school values candidates who are not only passionate about pediatric speech-language pathology but possess experience with Medicaid billing requirements and SLPA mentorship.
Key qualifications:
- Hold a current SLP license and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Background in pediatric and school-based SLP services
- Demonstrated ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Proficient in Medicaid billing for therapy services
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-8 students in alignment with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for a broad range of communication disorders
- Supervise, mentor, and support the onsite SLPA in daily practice
- Document and track progress, adhering to Medicaid billing procedures and district protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
