Key Qualifications & Experience
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and ASHA CCC-SLP credential
- Strong background in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- Previous experience delivering services in K-8 settings preferred
- Proficient in Medicaid billing and documentation
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and support SLPAs
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide targeted speech-language interventions for elementary and middle school students
- Oversee and mentor the on-site SLPA, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with clinical standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including Medicaid billing requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support each child’s goals
- Adjust therapy techniques and approaches to meet each student’s unique needs
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
