Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Gig Harbor, Washington
Make an immediate impact supporting young learners as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in an engaging early childhood setting! This full-time, onsite contract opportunity focuses on providing essential speech and language services to children aged 3-5, including those in developmental preschool, itinerant programs, and child find evaluations. You'll collaborate with teachers and families to help little ones unlock their communication potential, ensuring every child gets the support they need during these critical early learning years.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Current ASHA certification and valid Educational Staff Associate (ESA) licensure for Washington State.
- Experience working with early childhood/elementary-aged students (ages 3-5).
- Strong background in speech-language assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring.
- Skilled in supporting diverse communication needs, including developmental disabilities and preschool populations.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy processes, including documentation and IEP development.
- Consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CFYs) eager to learn in a supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and child find assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEP requirements.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records/documentation.
- Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to support inclusive practices and maximize student outcomes.
- Travel to itinerant sites as needed.
