Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with a preschool program serving Adams County. This contract opportunity centers around working with children ages 3 to 5 who have special education needs, fostering development and communication skills during a crucial stage in their growth.
In this itinerant position, you’ll travel to various locations around New Oxford and Gettysburg, engaging with students individually and in small groups. The work calendar aligns with a preschool stretch schedule, spanning 188 days annually. Your weekly hours are set at 35, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance, with a dedicated block each week reserved for paperwork and planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP license submitted with your resume
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates with Clinical Fellowship (CF) status are welcome if external supervision arrangements are available
- Experience or a passion for working with preschool-aged children with special needs
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability in an itinerant setting
- Commitment to in-person service delivery (no virtual positions available at this time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to children aged 3–5 in line with IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation and attend IEP meetings
- Travel between sites within Adams County as program needs dictate
- Leverage provided resources, including a laptop, iPad, lesson planning subscriptions, and assessment materials
