Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Gastonia, NC

This contract position is available immediately through May 21st, 2025, with full-time hours (37.5 per week). You will have the chance to collaborate with multiple elementary schools and specialized itinerant programs, impacting students across varied settings including extension and itinerant classrooms.
Your expertise in speech-language pathology—particularly with CCC, pediatric, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based services—will be invaluable. Candidates at the CFY level are also encouraged to apply. Supervision of an SLPA may be part of your role, with individualized support and paid administrative time (including team meetings).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; CFY considered
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in school and pediatric settings, including teletherapy
- Strong understanding of IEP processes (training on district systems provided)
- Familiarity with working with diverse student populations (Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Pre-K, elementary)
- Willingness to supervise SLPA, as needed
- Ability to provide transcripts for credential verification before the interview
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Manage a defined student caseload across multiple school locations
- Develop and implement IEPs, participate in meetings with paid admin time
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and support staff
- Travel between assigned schools; mileage and travel time are compensated
- Potentially supervise SLPA(s)
