Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, consultative, and educational services for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders that interfere with educational performance. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student access to the educational environment and progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in compliance with Indiana Article 7, IDEA, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language screenings, evaluations, and reevaluations for students referred for special education services.
Assess speech, language, voice, fluency, articulation, pragmatic language, and communication needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and IEP goals.
Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to eligible students.
Maintain accurate records, therapy notes, progress reports, Medicaid documentation, and evaluation reports.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, Case Conference Committee (CCC) meetings, and IEP meetings.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers regarding student communication needs and interventions.
Recommend classroom accommodations, assistive technology, and communication strategies to support student participation and learning.
Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
Support students in general education and special education settings through individual, small group, and classroom-based services.
Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding communication development and intervention strategies.
Maintain compliance with IDEA, FERPA, Indiana Article 7, Medicaid billing requirements, and district procedures.
Travel between school buildings as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
Valid Indiana Speech-Language Pathology license required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred or required by district.
Knowledge of speech and language development, communication disorders, and evidence-based interventions.
Understanding of IDEA, Indiana Article 7, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and special education procedures.
Strong assessment, communication, collaboration, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with students from preschool through high school.
School-based experience preferred but not required.Position Summary
