Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Gainesville, Virginia

Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or eligibility for the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric and school-aged populations
- Familiarity with a variety of communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic/social language
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
What You’ll Do:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop therapy goals tailored to each student’s IEP
- Maintain detailed documentation, track student progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across settings
- Utilize creative resources to make sessions engaging and effective for children
