Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Gainesville, GA
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students in a K-12 school setting during the 2020-2021 academic year. The position spans from August through May, with locations available in Helen, Cleveland, and Cornelia, Georgia.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also encouraged to apply
- Experience working within school environments serving K-12 students
- Skills in pediatric speech therapy and teletherapy are advantageous
- Ability to manage caseloads involving speech-language services tailored to individual student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language impairments
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain compliance with school policies and documentation standards
- Participate in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
