In this role, you’ll be part of a school-based team, providing specialized speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students. You’ll benefit from a focused caseload at one school location, allowing you to build strong connections with students and staff alike.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (Virginia required)
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with elementary student populations
- Availability for on-site service provision (remote-only not available)
- Must successfully complete a TB test and district-specific background check before starting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, evidence-based speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized student plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate, timely records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
- Communicate student progress and needs clearly to all stakeholders
- Remain current with best practices and continuing education within the field
Role & Schedule Details:
- Onsite, contract position
- Start ASAP; ends 5/27/27
- Approximately 18.75 hours per week (.5 FTE)
- Assigned to a single elementary school setting
