Make an impact supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Fredericksburg, VA, just 45 minutes south of Washington DC. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, for a total of 185 days. You’ll have the chance to work with a variety of age groups—elementary, middle, and high school students—ensuring each day brings rewarding and meaningful experiences.
As an on-site SLP, you'll collaborate closely with school staff, families, and students to provide comprehensive speech and language therapy. Your expertise will help empower students to communicate more effectively and achieve their personal and academic goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure required
- Experience in school settings with a broad range of developmental and educational needs preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Immediate readiness to begin the Virginia Department of Social Services background check and TB testing process
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy directly to students in assigned schools
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Assess, diagnose, and provide interventions for students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student success
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state and school district guidelines
