An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a difference in the lives of young students on a part-time, contract basis in North Virginia, just 45 minutes south of DC. This unique role offers a blend of on-site and in-home support, allowing you to work directly with children and collaborate closely with educators and families.
In this position, you’ll manage services across three different school placements: providing in-home support for a 4th grader, school-based services for a 2nd grader, and temporary services for two students at a private day school as the district searches for a permanent therapist. You’ll enjoy a flexible schedule with 10-15 hours per week, supporting a diverse caseload through the end of the academic year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP license (required)
- Experience in educational and pediatric SLP settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between school and home sites as needed
- Willingness to complete the Virginia Department of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
- Motivated self-starter comfortable working across varied environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to elementary-age students
- Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and school support staff
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reporting
- Adapt therapeutic strategies to meet unique student needs
- Participate in student support meetings when required
Pay is competitive and varies with experience, ranging from $46-58 per hour.
