Make a difference for students as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school environment located in the picturesque area north of Destin, FL. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated education professionals while supporting a diverse range of students. The assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through June 1, 2027, with a full-time commitment of up to 37.5 hours per week. Your schools assignment may be based at one school or could be itinerant between two sites—caseloads range from early childhood to transitional age.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active provisional Speech-Language Pathologist license (Florida DOH)
- School-based experience (highly preferred)
- Willingness to complete FL DOE fingerprinting and credentialing requirements, including possible JLA badge application
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to work with students of varying ages (Pre-K through age 22)
- Passion for working in an educational setting and supporting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for assigned students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to address student needs
- Document services and meet required compliance standards
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals related to speech-language needs
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school community
