Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure for the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience delivering speech and language therapy to students in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
- Knowledge of assessment tools, IEP process, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and outside agencies
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Provide direct interventions and group sessions for targeted communication skills
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on goal setting and modifications based on student progress
- Educate and consult with teachers and families to promote carry-over of skills in the classroom and at home
