This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students, providing interventions, evaluations, and support throughout the school year.
This assignment runs from August 20, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering steady, weekday hours—35 hours per week over five days. You'll collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to help students reach their communication goals in both pull-out and classroom settings.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Special Provider License
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility for ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in school-based settings (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in elementary and middle school settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Develop and implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and support inclusive practices
- Educate staff and families regarding strategies to enhance communication skills
