School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Fontana, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a leave replacement Speech-Language Pathologist from early January through March, with potential for extension. This vital position serves as a bridge in providing skilled speech therapy services in an engaging school environment for a diverse group of learners.
You'll work exclusively at one site, guiding a manageable caseload of around 55 elementary students, which includes both speech-only and resource kiddos. Days run Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, offering consistent, school-year hours and the chance to make a lasting difference in students’ progress and confidence.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLP licensure with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role strongly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting a range of student speech/language needs
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and families
- Dedication to delivering compassionate, student-centered care
What You'll Do:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct therapy to students, modifying techniques as needed for success
- Collaborate with special education teams and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports

- Communicate student progress with parents and staff
