School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Flomaton, Alabama

A contract-to-hire opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist with CCC credentials or appropriate SDE certification. This position serves PreK through 12th grade across three school sites, including preschools and some community-based home visits.
Your workday will run from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, allowing for a fulfilling full-time role with balanced hours. Starting August 4, 2026, and running through late May (end date to be confirmed), you’ll support a caseload of approximately 75 students, fostering meaningful communication development at all levels.
What we’re looking for:
- Current SLP licensure with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or relevant SDE certification
- Experience working with school-aged children, from preschool through high school
- Knowledge of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and documentation requirements in school settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with staff and families
- Flexibility to serve at multiple sites and occasional home visits as needed
- Ability to manage and prioritize a moderately sized, diverse caseload
- Comfort with technology and virtual meeting platforms, if required
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech-language therapy services to a varied caseload
- Performing assessments and evaluations to develop individualized plans
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate student records
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student-centered planning
- Traveling between three school sites (preschools and some community homes)
