School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Fairfax, Virginia
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist interested in working with students throughout the academic year. This position is based near Fairfax and Manassas, VA, and covers the period from August 17, 2026, to June 12, 2027. You’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young adults by providing essential speech and language services in a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Virginia SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Prior experience delivering speech and language therapy in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify student strengths and areas for growth
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to student progress reviews
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, other specialists, and families to support student goals
- Maintain documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
