Speech-Language Pathologist in Evergreen, AL
An exciting contract opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the upcoming school year! Collaborate with K-12 students across multiple sites, supporting their communication and academic success in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time role runs from August 6, 2024, through May 22, 2025, with the school day typically spanning from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Flexibility is vital, as your end-of-day may shift by about 30 minutes depending on your assigned location.
You’ll spend your days empowering students through direct intervention, evaluations, and consultation—all while building relationships with educators and families to promote student progress. The schedule consists of 7-hour workdays with both a 30-minute unpaid lunch and an additional 30-minute unpaid break.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in evaluating and treating a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance caseloads across multiple school sites
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs and related documentation
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational experience
