Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license in Washington State required
- Active ESA certification, or eligibility with pending status, considered
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to elementary students according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist the supervising SLP in developing and implementing treatment programs
- Collect and document student progress data for ongoing evaluation
- Support and maintain positive student engagement during sessions
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational staff to deliver optimal care
- Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student progress
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district guidelines for school-based practice
This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, offering a consistent 37.5 hours per week schedule over five days.
