Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Vista, California
Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity supporting students throughout the 2026–2027 school year. This contract role offers a vibrant caseload in a collaborative environment near Vista, CA. With a primary focus on elementary-aged learners, and some work with middle school students, you'll make a daily impact on language and communication skills. Flexibility is available—choose full-time (up to 40 hours per week) or part-time hours based on your needs. Clinical fellows are welcome to apply and will be provided with supervision.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- California licensure or eligibility (SLP-CCC preferred, CFY supported)
- Prior experience in school or pediatric settings highly valued
- Skills in assessment, intervention, goal writing, and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with teletherapy tools and delivery a plus (in-person focus for this role)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Compassionate, culturally aware, and committed to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services for elementary and some middle school students at 1–2 schools
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and track progress
- Consult with educators and families to support each child’s success
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
