Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows with school experience may be considered
- Experience with school-aged children or previous work in educational settings is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) collaboratively with educators and parents
- Conduct screenings and formal evaluations as needed
- Monitor student progress and keep accurate records of treatment and outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to ongoing student support strategies
- Offer consultation to teachers and staff on communication strategies and classroom accommodations
