A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available within a special education cooperative serving multiple school districts in and around Emporia, Kansas. This role supports students across several locations within approximately one hour of Emporia, including Emporia SD, North Lyon County, South Lyon County, Chase County, Madison, Hamilton, and Morris County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students ranging from 10 to 55 daily, depending on full-time or part-time engagement.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state licensing and cooperative protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Speech-Language Pathology License (KS SLP License) required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working in school settings highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the cooperative’s coverage area on a daily basis.
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours as needed.
Location: This position requires onsite work within the cooperative’s served districts near Emporia, KS with multiple potential locations within approximately one hour's commute.
