Speech Therapist in Lenexa, KS
Seeking skilled Speech-Language Pathologists for contract assignments supporting K-12 students in the vibrant Lenexa, KS area. Multiple full-time positions are available for the upcoming academic year, with assignments running from August 3, 2026, to May 21, 2027. If you're passionate about fostering communication and language development in school settings, you’ll find this role rewarding and impactful.
Your expertise will support diverse elementary, middle, and high school populations, covering 1-3 campuses during the school year. Assignment details, caseload specifics, and building placements will be further clarified during interviews as plans for the next school year are still being finalized. Both experienced clinicians and those newer to the field may apply, as this district welcomes SLPs with CCC, Clinical Fellows, and SLPAs, provided you are available to work onsite.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Valid SLP licensure and credentials (CCC, CF, or SLPA)
- Relevant experience in school-based speech/language services
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Flexibility and comfort working across multiple campuses
- Commitment to collaboration with educational staff and families
- Willingness to adapt to evolving caseload and placement needs
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized and group speech/language therapy to K-12 students
- Conducting assessments and developing IEP goals
- Maintaining appropriate records and progress reports
- Communicating with families, teachers, and staff
- Participating in IEP meetings as needed
- Traveling between campuses as assigned
