Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Shawnee, KS
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-12 learners. This full-time, on-site contract position offers the opportunity to serve a diverse range of students across multiple campuses. You’ll work from August 2026 through May 2027, collaborating with school staff and families to deliver specialized speech and language interventions.
Several vacancies are available, with each position focused on providing high-quality services in elementary schools with specialized programs. As caseload specifics will be determined closer to the start of the school year, flexibility and a collaborative spirit are key. There's also potential for an Early Childhood assignment for those interested in working with younger children.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based settings (K-12) preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campuses (1-3 per assignment)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfort with adapting to varied or evolving caseloads
- Willingness to consider an Early Childhood role is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, intervention, and therapy for students with speech and language needs
- Maintain detailed documentation and provide input at IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families
- Cover caseloads ranging from 18 to 23 students per campus in specialized programs
- Adapt to school needs and contribute to a positive learning environment
