Current openings are available for contract SLPs to serve as substitutes within multiple elementary schools, with assignments ranging from immediate starts to mid-November and lasting through mid-February or potentially the end of the school year. These roles require on-site presence and are open to fully licensed SLPs or CFYs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required or be in your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working in school settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred for certain caseloads
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to elementary students across a variety of settings including general education, early childhood, and regional support programs
- Maintain accurate documentation related to assessment, intervention, and progress reporting
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to design and implement effective therapy plans
- Adapt services to meet the specific needs of diverse student populations and multiple caseload assignments, with potential split schedules between schools
Available Positions Include:
- Full-time roles (5 days/week, 37.5 hours weekly) at single or split elementary school sites
- Assignments begin either immediately or mid-November, with potential for extension
