Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored speech and language therapy to students, predominantly those with autism spectrum disorder
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
- Participate in onsite interviews to observe the school environment and student interactions prior to employment offers
Qualifications & Experience:
- SLP candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible
- SLPA candidates with relevant school experience are encouraged to apply
- Maryland state certification required for all speech professionals
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with autistic populations, is highly valued
- Availability for full-time work preferred; part-time SLP-CCC candidates may be considered
Additional Details:
- Initial contract duration of three months leading to a permanent position
- Onsite interviews to ensure candidate fit and comfort with school environment and student needs
This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the communication development of students in a supportive, focused setting.
