Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored speech and language therapy to students, predominantly those with autism spectrum disorder
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
  • Participate in onsite interviews to observe the school environment and student interactions prior to employment offers

Qualifications & Experience:

  • SLP candidates must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or be Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible
  • SLPA candidates with relevant school experience are encouraged to apply
  • Maryland state certification required for all speech professionals
  • Experience working within school settings, preferably with autistic populations, is highly valued
  • Availability for full-time work preferred; part-time SLP-CCC candidates may be considered

Additional Details:

  • Initial contract duration of three months leading to a permanent position
  • Onsite interviews to ensure candidate fit and comfort with school environment and student needs

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the communication development of students in a supportive, focused setting. Candidates who are dedicated, experienced in school-based SLP or SLPA roles, and hold necessary Maryland credentials are encouraged to apply and experience this enriching educational community firsthand.
