Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Illinois
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience working within schools or with school-aged children is highly preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to tailor interventions for diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication, language, articulation, and related skills
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain thorough progress notes and compliance with school/district policies
- Deliver direct therapy in both individual and group sessions, adjusting strategies to maximize student engagement
